Life is short. Live, laugh, enjoy and thank God for every day.

If you were or are still a fan, this rendition will probably make you tear up.

With John’s untimely death, the words are just all that much more evocative.

The Wildlife Concert was John Denver’s last TV Concert. It was taped in New York City in February 1995 and is available on DVD.

Great buy – almost 2 hours of John at his very best.

    sometimes in life …
sometimes in life we do not know what we have till they are gone. that is how I feel about John. I grew up with his music in the 70′s as a kid. now at 46, I know what he means by “there is still so much left to do”. living life with passion is what John was all about and it was his biggest lesson for each of us. I will never forgive myself for not seeing him in Corpus Christi right before he passed. Just took it all for granted then. I learned the lesson to never take anything for granted.

This is my all time favorite John Denver song. I love the line “how sweet it is to love someone, how right it is to care”. How true. I miss John, but his lovely songs will live on forever.

    “….and lie there …
“….and lie there by the fire and watch the evening tire…….” One of the best lyrics in all of popular music. So simple, yet so expressive of our shared memories.

When I get to where …
When I get to where all kindred spirits unite, I shall find John Denver. He will know me, because his words, his music, his love of nature, are all embedded in my own soul. Henry David Thoreau, Emerson, Aldo Leopold and John will all come running to embrace their little sister and we shall sing, “I have to say it now, its been agood life all in all”

    Sure wish I could …
Sure wish I could have met him. This song and “Come and let me look in your eyes” sure make you reflect on your life. One of the few singers who’s songs actually have true meaning.

Brings tears to my eyes. I’m 56 years old. I used to have an old John Denver 8 track that I played in my old 1965 Ford Falcon way back when I was dating. The song sort of sums up my life now. I was really sad when John Denver died. What a loss!
